Our Trip to Spain | Inspiration Files

Snapshots of inspiring places from our time in Madrid and Barcelona. You will see a lot of these places translated through my sketches.

I tried to link as many things as I could below since I often receive requests, unfortunately many items are too old to shop, but I tried my best!

El Retiro Park | Madrid Spain

One of our favorite places we’ve been as a family. Such a peaceful park with massive grounds of trees, places to picnic, street performers and a beautiful pond we got to cruise around in.

Train Ride | Madrid -> Barcelona

Flamenco Show - 23 Robadors | Barcelona, Spain

An unforgettable memory. We got to sneak out for a date night when my mom arrived in Barcelona. We went to a Flamenco show in a tiny cavern-like venue. Her performance was so emotional and so captivating to watch. I can’t recommend it more if you find yourself in Spain!

Park Guell | Barcelona, Spain

The Brain child of Antoni Gaudi, Park Guell is a peaceful and fanciful property just outside of Barcelona. This was such an inspiring place, I only wish we had more time there.

Streets of Madrid

La Sagrada Familia | Barcelona, Spain

Another Gaudi masterpiece that is still under construction. This cathedral is fantastic, inventive, daring, and inspiring at every turn.

The term “gaudy” came from describing Gaudi’s work, and is often considered an insult, but visit any of his works and you’ll see to be compared to Gaudi is a compliment!

Barceloneta Beach | Barcelona, Spain

Gothic Quarter | Barcelona, Spain

An old world feel with narrow streets and great people watching.

Streets of Barcelona
