November 2024
Well hello, hello.
You know how they say that if you don’t take a break your body will for you? That’s me this weekend, sick in bed despite big plans. Anyone else?
But here we are, mid-November and I want to share a bit of what has inspired and captured my eye lately.
Inspired By
I’ve been really into the sky the past few months, but especially the night sky as of late. Tonight is a super moon!
The warm glow of the moon, shooting stars, and the reflective metallics of water have been really energizing to my brain lately. My paintings often circle around themes of hope and I find a lot of hope in the unknown of just how big our universe is when I look up at the night sky.
Further more, thinking about love - long comfy love. The perfect martini (beefeater gin, dirty, extra bluecheese olives, & freezing cold please), and all that it means to be a woman.
Latest Works
Above: Starlight (48x60”)
Right: Starlight ii. (48x48”) available soon
what i want to wear
I’ve been doing some holiday “window” shopping for a few parties and here’s what caught my eye.
I have the wired “shell” handbag and it’s always a big hit at bag check ;) I also impulsed purchased the Madewell darted barrel jean when I had to make a quick exit with my potty trainer, and have worn them so much. So comfy!
Songs for listening
21 - Gracie Abrams
I heard this song live for the first time at the Eras tour and wow, Gracie has me!
Maroon - Taylor Swift
Speaking of Eras, Maroon was one of our surprise songs night 2 in Indy! It’s an all-time favorite and one that I think really showcases Taylors songwriting.
Books for Reading
Fourth Wing
This is the farthest thing from a niche recommendation but I just re-red the Fourth Wing series and was reminded of how much I love them. The 3rd book comes out in January so go ahead and hop on the band wagon! It’s a good time.
I’ll leave you with this cutie Tik Tok that hits the nose on the head for me.
